What is eco printing in the dirty pot?

This merino cowl has been printed using Cornus alba Siberica (dogwood) leaves from the garden at Clasheen and was processed by submersion in the dirty pot for approx 2 hours and 20 minutes.

It actually is one of three new accessories that I was able to make from an old woollen jumper that had seen better days. Who else loves up-cycling their own or thrifted clothing?
