17 Aug My finished Stockholm Sweater
I’ve finished my first Stockholm Sweater by Biches & Bûches. This was not an easy pattern for me to follow. The stitches were simple but I found the instructions were definitely suited to those with more experience working things out for themselves., especially when it came to the cables on either side of the shoulder increases.
However, now that it’s blocked it does fit beautifully and the collar is not too high as I’d feared.
Knitting is perfect while I spend quiet time with mum. She’s not able for proper walks now, just short trips from the car to house or strolls down Sylvia’s garden.
Isn’t it interesting how memory works? Even though mum has advanced Alzheimer’s as soon as I asked her to help me wind a hank of wool into a ball, she knew exactly what to do! 😀
