02 Jun Eco printing WIP part 4
I’m really happy with how my first two batches of eco printed Irish wool yarn worked out. On the left, you can see three skeins printed using onion skins and Euca. cordata leaves in an aluminium pot with a reddish liquid, the first two wrapped on copper and the third on rusty metal. The six other skeins were all printed in my usual very dark ‘dirty pot’ and wrapped with mixed eucalyptus leaves. I used a mixture of copper and rusty metal pipes to achieve the subtle differences in the shades of the individual bundles. In total, I printed 12 skeins and am already loving how the yarn is knitting up!
