20 Jun Eco Printing on Paper
This simple, short, step by step eco printing in the ‘dirty pot’ tutorial has stood the test of time and become one of the most watched videos on my YouTube channel. In it I share how you can create beautiful eco prints on paper using windfall or foraged leaves, bark and onions skins in an environmentally mindful and health conscious way, even as a total beginner!
This is a wonderful and fun activity to do with kids and friends but please make sure that only an adult takes care of putting bundles in and out of the boiling pot. Allow them to cool down completely before opening to avoid any risk of getting a burn. It’s also important to use an old pot (saucepan) that will not be used for cooking food again. The paper that you print is fantastic to use for handmade cards, gift tags, swing tags (if you sell garments) and indeed for any mixed media project!
