There’s a beautiful Asian feel to this linen table runner that Liga printed at Clasheen as part of Nurture during August 2021. Eco printing without traditional powdered mordants is a fascinating process, some plants print beautifully and are totally wash fast while others give absolutely no substantive colour at all and fade almost immediately. Liga and I both absolutely loved her end result!
If you are interested in learning how to print linen, ramie, cotton and other cellulose fabric using the power of home made rust water this YouTube video shares my favorite way of doing this.
