Eco-Creative Summit: A Gentle Invitation to Join Me

Eco-Creative Summit: A Gentle Invitation to Join Me

It’s been a little quieter than usual here over the past few months. I’ve been travelling in Australia and have now returned home, easing back into studio life, the garden, and all the small rhythms of daily making.

Today, I wanted to share something I think many of you will enjoy.

I’m delighted to be collaborating with HobbyScool for the first time, and to be taking part in their upcoming Eco-Creative Summit—a two-day online event celebrating slow, thoughtful, hands-on creativity.

It’s completely free to attend.

As part of the summit, I’ll be teaching a session on eco printing in the dirty pot. If you’re new to eco printing, want to revisit the foundations, or are looking to move away from traditional powdered mordants, this will give you a clear and approachable starting point.

What to Expect

The summit brings together a lovely mix of makers and teachers, all centred around sustainability, upcycling, and creative exploration.

A couple of sessions I’m particularly looking forward to are:

  • No Pattern, No Pressure: Slow-Stitch a Calming Fabric Roll from Scraps
  • A Masterclass in Natural Color: Crafting Professional Watercolor & Gouache Paint with Earth Pigments and Plant-Based Binder

It’s a thoughtful programme, and a nice opportunity to learn something new at your own pace.

If you decide to join, I’d love to know which sessions you’re drawn to!

Don’t forget that the summit is completely free to attend. If you later choose to purchase any of HobbyScool’s paid offers, I may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you.
