Ready to wear, my latest Toaster Sweater number 1 by Sew House Seven in a combination of eco printed nuno felt and organic cotton knit. The felt has been in my stash for years. It’s got crisp bright leaf prints on the other side but I wanted to feature this more moody side with the dark bands of colour at the bottom. These come from rusty rasps (for trimming horses feet) that I included while I was printing.
It’s not a fabric combo that I’ve used before but from past experience, I knew that I could substitute a woven (or felt) fabric and the top would still fit me. After a brainstorm where I cut the body 10 cms shorter than I meant to, I decided to leave the bottom edge raw rather than add a band. I love the cropped length and know that I will wear this loads. Tiger approves and would like it for herself!
