08 Aug Bootcamp Day 1!
Are you all fired up because day 1 of the bootcamp has finally arrived? I know that I am and really look forward to sharing important techniques and tips with you so that you too can achieve the prints that you have been dreaming of!
Today is all about keeping things simple. Because there is so much information about eco printing flying around on the internet it’s often difficult to get the the root of things and know where to start. Make sure to have paper and a pen to hand when I go live because I am going to give you so much information and all the low down on EXACTLY what you need to do to achieve beautiful prints, time after time, even if you are a total beginner.
“I had previously done some eco printing, learning from various websites and YouTube videos. I’d never discovered the dirty pot until reading Nicola’s book. I’m thrilled to discover a more organic way of working with plants. Not using added powder mordant appeals to me. I’m eager to learn more, Nicola is a very good tutor.” Trish Kelly, Ireland
“Well I found Nicola about 5 yrs ago on facebook, really, she is the reason for my exploration of ecoprinting … came back to it recently and I love seeing the garden and all the trees she has planted. I also am sort of tired of mordants. and would like to incorporate some of the eco printing and felting techniques into my yarn dyeing, etc.” Jayne Stuart”
“I have been an eco dyer for a number of years and also a wet felter. I have found Nicola’s videos and boot camps to be so incredibly useful to assist me to find my focus and to be willing to explore some different approaches. I want to thank Nicola for her very generous sharing of information to all textile artists, plus anyone who happens to come across her little videos, or her blog, in a search engine. It was so refreshing to discover this treasure trove of information at a time when I really needed it.
Even if you believe you are quite experienced in both areas, I suggest you may just learn more from Nicola. Thank you Nicola, for sharing so freely. I wish I had visited you when we were in Ireland, pre Covid.” Lorraine OBrien, Warrnambool, Australia.
That’s it for now, I really look forward to ‘seeing’ many of you tonight. Don’t be shy with your questions if you have any and don’t forget your pen and paper so that you can take notes!
